Tried a modular PSU versus a non-modular one in the same case last week

I built two identical systems except for the power supply. One had a standard non-modular unit and the other a modular one. The cable management was night and day with the modular PSU. I saved about 45 minutes of routing and ziptie work. Has anyone else noticed how much easier troubleshooting is with modular cables?

Modular PSUs are definitely nicer for building clean, but they actually make troubleshooting harder sometimes. If you lose the cables or mix up which ones go with which unit, it becomes a huge headache. Non-modular cables are always attached, so you can't misplace them or plug something in wrong. Also, the connectors on modular PSUs can be a weak point where voltage drops happen. So it is a tradeoff, not a clear win.
