Swapped out my stock CPU cooler for a Thermalright Peerless Assassin and wow

Spent 6 months dealing with my Ryzen 7600 hitting 85 degrees under load, fans sounding like a jet engine. Finally swapped to the Peerless Assassin for $38 and my temps dropped to 65 under full load. Cable management was actually easier too since the fan cables tuck into the fin stack. Has anyone else noticed how much quieter their build gets after ditching those stock coolers?

Had a buddy insist his stock Intel cooler was "fine" until I showed him my dog's fur getting stuck in the fan blades. Peerless Assassin just makes everything run better and quieter, no contest.

Wait, is it really that serious though? @ben436 has me second-guessing my stock cooler now.
