Spent 4 hours chasing a short that turned out to be one loose standoff on an old Lian Li case
Back in 2008 I built a rig in a scratched up Lian Li PC-60 and it would not post, just fans spinning and nothing else, so I pulled every part out about six times over two evenings. Turns out a single brass standoff was touching the back of the board where the paint had worn off, and I only found it after my neighbor lent me his multimeter and we checked continuity for an hour. Does anyone still keep a spare standoff kit around just in case, or am I the only one who learned this lesson the hard way?
