My buddy's comment about my cable management hit different yesterday

I was showing off my new build to my friend Mike at his place in Austin. He's not really into PCs, but he looked at my back panel and goes 'dude, it looks like a spaghetti monster back there.' I mean, I thought I did ok. I spent like 2 hours on the front side making it clean. But he was right. The back is a total mess with zip ties everywhere and cables just stuffed in. It made me rethink how I even approach building. Maybe I should focus on both sides from the start instead of just hiding stuff in the back. Has anyone else had a buddy point out something obvious about their build that you just never noticed?

Honestly, that's the thing most people don't realize when they first start building. Everyone obsesses over the side they can see through the glass and totally forgets the back is where all the ugly lives. I spent a whole weekend rerouting my last build after I opened the back panel and saw a rat's nest of cables. What clicked for me was treating the back panel the same as the front. I started routing cables in channels and using velcro strips instead of zip ties so I can move stuff around later. Also measuring where each cable needs to go before you plug anything in saves you from just shoving six inches of extra wire into a dark hole. Tbh once you get that back panel clean, the whole build just feels more solid and less like it's gonna fall apart if you bump it.

@river_hart18 caring that much about the back side seems like overkill.
