Finally stopped zip-tying cables to the back of the case like a wild person
I used to just cram all my cables behind the motherboard tray and hope the panel closed. Didn't even think about airflow or looks until my friend saw my build and laughed. Last weekend I remounted the PSU properly and used velcro straps to route everything along the designated channels. It took me about 2 hours but my temps dropped 3 degrees and the glass panel actually shows off the parts now. Anyone else have a wake up call about cable routing that made a difference?

Temps dropped 3 degrees" - man, I gotta say that sounds like a whole lot of work for basically nothing. My first build had cables literally hanging out the back of the case, never had any heat issues in like 4 years. Seems like one of those things people obsess over but really doesn't matter that much in the real world.

Did you actually check your temps before you did all that work or did you just assume they were fine? Because 3 degrees is 3 degrees, that's not nothing if you're running close to thermal limits under load.
