overcomplicating my camping meals" - man that hit home for me lol. I used to pack a whole cast iron setup and fancy spices for weekend trips. Now I just bring a jetboil and those dehydrated meals you add hot water to. Not gonna lie, some of them actually taste decent if you add a little hot sauce. Saves so much space and cleanup is basically nothing.
