Warning: Grocery store budgeting got wrecked by a simple change at Aldi
I went to Aldi last Tuesday in Cleveland and noticed they moved all their marked down meat to one small endcap instead of spreading it out. That little shift made me walk right past it without checking deals and I paid $8 more for chicken than I should have. I stood there and watched three other people miss the discount rack too because it was hidden behind a clearance bin. Has anyone else had a store rearrange things and blow their whole budget plan because you just can't find the savings anymore?

I've had that same thing happen at our local Aldi here in Columbus. They moved the day-old bread section to this weird spot behind a pillar and I didn't see it for three weeks. I missed out on those 89 cent loaves that make great french toast for the kids. Reminds me of when they rearranged the whole dairy section at the Kroger near my shop a few years back. I spent an extra ten minutes wandering around like a fool before I gave up and just grabbed milk from the gas station.
