Took me 3 whole afternoons to figure out I was overpaying for car insurance by $85 a month
I sat down to finally switch insurance companies after putting it off for months. I figured plugging my info into a comparison site would take 20 minutes tops. Instead I spent about 9 hours over three days because every site asked for different details and I kept having to dig up old policy numbers and find my VIN in the glovebox. By the end I had saved $85 a month but my back hurt from sitting at the desk so long. Has anyone else had a budget win turn into a full weekend project?

Man 9 hours seems like a lot. I just called my current insurance and told them I was leaving, they matched the lower rate in like 15 minutes. Honestly most people overthink this stuff. You probably could have just asked for a quote on one site and moved on instead of trying to compare every single detail.

Feel you on that, Thomas. Some of us just get in our heads and start spiraling down rabbit holes, you know? I've definitely wasted way more time than I should've on stuff like this when a quick call would've saved me. Glad it worked out for you though, honestly.
