TIL free online exercises fixed my back pain and my budget

I had this nagging back ache from my desk job that wouldn't go away. My doctor said I needed physical therapy, but the prices were way too high for me. So I looked up back pain relief videos on the internet and found a bunch of free routines. I've been doing them every other day for a month, and my back is actually feeling better. Not paying for therapy saved me over $200 last month alone. It's pretty cool that being frugal helped my health too. I'm just sticking with this for now since it's working and cheap.

Aren't some of those free videos a bit hit or miss though? @carr.willow is right about the access to info being great, but you gotta be careful with bad advice. That's why a doc's plan is still the gold standard for serious stuff.

YouTube is absolutely full of bad form demos that can hurt people. It's so hard to tell what's legit until you've already tried it and maybe tweaked something. That's why for real injuries, nothing beats getting a pro to look at you.

That part about frugality helping your health... it's something I see more and more. Like, so many basic fixes for everyday issues are just out there for free now. It used to be you had to pay experts for every little thing, but now with videos and forums, people share what works. I've noticed friends DIYing stuff from home repairs to mental health tips... saving cash and feeling empowered. Your back pain story is a perfect example of how access to info can change lives without breaking the bank. Makes you wonder what else we can solve on our own with a bit of digging online...
