The week I said no to takeout every single day and saved $87
Last Tuesday I was about to order my usual Chipotle bowl when I remembered I had three chicken thighs in the fridge that were gonna go bad. So I cooked them with some rice and frozen veggies. Then I just kept doing that for a whole week. Monday I made soup from leftover rotisserie bones. Wednesday was eggs and beans. By Friday I realized I hadn't spent a dime on food delivery. Pulled my bank statement Sunday and saw I saved $87 compared to a normal week. Has anyone else had a week where one small choice just snowballed into big savings?

Yeah I mean $87 is real money no doubt but that week sounds brutal. Eating every single meal at home for a whole week just to save that much doesn't feel worth it to me, I'd rather just skip one night out and call it even.

You know what Ryan, I used to be exactly on your side about this. But my neighbor actually did it for a month and ended up saving like $340, which changed my mind a little.
