That week my grocery budget somehow survived a cake emergency
So last Tuesday I dropped a whole cheesecake on my kitchen floor. Like, splat, gone, not even the dog wanted it. I had already spent $45 of my $60 weekly grocery budget but I NEEDED dessert after that disaster. Found a store brand chocolate cake mix for $1.79 and some clearance frosting for $0.99. Somehow I ended up $2 under budget for the week despite the mess. Has anyone else had a save that felt like a win but tasted like defeat?
