Serious question, I thought the envelope thing was for grandparents until I tried it in January and now I have $940 saved
My sister kept bugging me to try cash envelopes and I told her it was a dumb idea for like 2 years because who carries cash anymore. Then in January my card got skimmed at a gas station in Tucson and I was out $300 while the bank sorted it out, so I gave it a shot out of pure spite. I pull $140 out every Friday for groceries, gas, and fun stuff, and whatever is left on Sunday goes in a jar. It's 6 months later and the jar has $940 in it, which is more than I saved all of 2023. Does anyone else do the cash thing or am I just late to a party everyone knew about?
