Question about that 'latte factor' thing everyone talks about

I was reading an old finance blog and saw a stat that the average person spends about $1,100 a year on coffee shop drinks. I tracked my own spending for a month and mine was actually way higher, like $75 just in April. Switched to making it at home with a cheap French press and I'm saving a ton. Anyone else have a small habit that added up to a big surprise?

Wait, $1,100 per MONTH @dylan_green58? That's insane, that's like a car payment.

Hey, just a quick thing, that $1,100 stat is actually per month, not per year! Crazy how fast it adds up.
