Meal prepping actually saved me $120 this month, I was wrong about it being overrated

I always thought meal prepping was for fitness influencers trying to sell Tupperware, but I finally tried it after my grocery bill hit $80 a week. Turns out cooking 5 portions of chili on Sunday cuts my lunch spending to basically zero. Has anyone else found a meal they thought was hype but ended up working out?

You're describing something I've noticed happening across so many areas of life... we get this idea in our heads about how something works without actually trying it. The meal prep thing especially, it's like we've built up this whole image of spending Sunday afternoon with 47 matching containers and a spiralizer, when really it's just making a double batch of soup or pasta sauce. Then you do it once and realize the barrier was entirely in your head. Same thing happened to me with using a slow cooker, thought it was for people who have their life together but really it's just throwing stuff in a pot and walking away. The internet loves to make simple things look complicated.
