Hit a $10k emergency fund and I'm honestly disappointed
Everyone talks about hitting that magic number as a huge win, but when I reached $10k saved for emergencies last month, it just felt empty. I worked hard for 14 months skipping takeout and selling old gear on Craigslist to get there. Then my car needed a $2,800 transmission repair and my water heater went out for $1,200 in the same week. The fund helped but I realized the real win is having liquid cash way beyond that number. Has anyone else felt let down after reaching a big savings goal? What number actually made you feel secure?

Stop treating an emergency fund like a finish line when it's really just a starting block.

Hang on, @uma_reed26, you're telling me people actually think having a safety net is the end of the money game?
