Finally fixed that drafty window after a year of ignoring it
My south-facing window has been letting in cold air since last winter, and I kept putting off sealing it. Finally spent $8 on some weatherstripping tape from the hardware store, took maybe 20 minutes to install. Did anyone else's heating bill drop noticeably after plugging small leaks like this?

Good on you for finally doing it, man. That drafty window thing is brutal. I did my back door last fall with that foam tape that's like a quarter inch thick, and my gas bill dropped by like 15 bucks the next month. The worst part is realizing how easy it is and how much money you wasted putting it off.

The $15 a month thing is what got me tbh. I always thought weatherstripping was some big expensive project but its literally just tape. Did my living room windows two weeks ago with that black foam stuff and the difference in how the room feels is wild. Kinda mad at myself for sitting in a drafty house for two winters like an idiot.
