Changed my mind about meal prepping after 3 years of hating it
I always thought meal prepping was for people with too much time on their hands. Last month my buddy Dave showed me his system - $80 for the whole week, frozen burritos and quesadillas. Actually tried it and saved $60 that first week alone. Anyone else here get convinced by a friend's simple setup?

Oh man, I totally get the "sad soggy breakfast taco" problem. The trick I learned (after maybe 10 failed batches) is to undercook your fillings by about 20% and let them cool completely before wrapping. That way when you reheat, they don't turn into mush. Also, using sturdy tortillas and double wrapping in both foil and a ziploc is a game changer - keeps out all that freezer air that makes everything taste like cardboard.

Dave converts another soul to the cult of the frozen burrito. $80 for the week sounds like magic until you realize you're just eating glorified Hot Pockets for 7 days straight. But hey, $60 saved is $60 you can spend on takeout when you inevitably get sick of your own cooking on day three. I tried it once and ended up with a freezer full of sad, soggy breakfast tacos that all tasted like defeat.
