Tracked my flight costs for 6 months and hit 40% savings just by booking on Tuesdays
Honestly, I always thought the Tuesday booking thing was a myth until I actually crunched my numbers. Over 6 months I saved about $180 on flights to Austin and Denver just by waiting until that day. Has anyone else tested this and found a different day that works better for specific airlines?

Wait, so it actually works? I used to roll my eyes at the whole Tuesday advice too, thought it was just travel bloggers making stuff up. But now I'm kind of reconsidering after seeing your numbers, $180 is pretty solid for just changing what day you book. Hmm, maybe I need to actually give this a real shot next time I book a trip. Do you think the savings are bigger for certain airlines or routes, or does it seem to hold up pretty much everywhere?

Yeah, I was pretty skeptical too until I tried it myself last year... I booked a flight to Denver on a Tuesday night for $97 round trip on Southwest, and the same flight was $240 when I checked back on Friday. For me, the savings seemed way bigger on domestic flights with budget airlines like Spirit or Frontier, but I've also seen decent drops on Delta for longer hauls. @ray_webb6, I think the trick works best when you're booking 4-6 weeks out, not last minute or way in advance. International routes didn't seem to budge as much for me though, maybe $30-$40 tops.
