That $15 airport blanket saved my trip to Chicago but also made me look like a fool
I was flying out of Denver last month and forgot my jacket. Saw this cheap fleece blanket at a Hudson News for $15 and grabbed it thinking it would just be a backup. Well, it was great on the plane but then I had to carry it around downtown Chicago all day waiting for my hostel check-in. Looked like a kid on a school trip dragging this thing everywhere. What I learned is those cheap packing cubes at Dollar Tree are better for stuffing a real layer into your carry-on. Anyone else end up buying random junk at airports just to survive a trip?

Man I feel this so hard. I once bought a $20 neck pillow shaped like a cactus at LAX because my neck was killing me, and I had to carry that thing through security and onto two more flights. Looked ridiculous but honestly it saved my trip too. Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do at the airport, no shame in it.
