My bus ticket vanished in Prague and I had 20 minutes to get to the airport

I used a local app called Liftago, which is like Uber but way cheaper there, and split the ride with two other stranded travelers I met at the stop. Anyone have a good backup plan for when pre-booked transport totally flakes?

Actually, taking a picture like @nancy275 does feels like extra work for no real payoff. If a paper ticket is gone, a photo won't bring it back for most official transport. You got lucky with Liftago, but trusting strangers to split a ride is a huge risk. I'd just eat the cost and book a proper taxi myself every single time.

Glad you made it work with Liftago, that was smart. I had a train ticket just disappear in Berlin once. My heart absolutely dropped. I ended up running to a bike share stand and pedaling like crazy to the station. Now I always take a picture of my ticket right after I buy it. Having that proof on my phone saved me another time when the conductor came by.

That photo trick is a LIFESAVER. I do the same thing with boarding passes now. Lost one right before a flight and never again.
