I thought paying for airport lounge access was a total scam

Last month in Bangkok, my flight got delayed 6 hours and I was stuck. A guy at the gate told me his credit card gave him free entry to the lounge for $32. I paid, got a shower, free food, and quiet. Has anyone else found a cheap way into lounges when flights go wrong?

Actually saw a deep dive on that card last week. The points system looks good on paper but the rewards are super hard to use. You need to book flights on specific days to get any value. For a lot of people, a simple cash back card ends up being way more useful in real life.
