Found a hostel in Lisbon for 12 euros a night if you do a 2 hour walking tour each morning

I was just in Portugal last week and stumbled onto this deal at a place near the Alfama district. You basically volunteer to guide a mini walking tour for other guests at 8am, takes about 2 hours, and they knock your bed cost way down. I saved like 40 euros over 3 nights doing it. The trick is you gotta be early because only 4 people per day get the spots. The hostel staff showed me the signup board and I grabbed it for Tuesday and Thursday. Has anyone else run into these kind of tour trade deals in other European cities?

Used to think those last minute booking sites were just scams honestly. But a buddy dragged me along to a hostel in Prague that way, no reservation, and it was like a third of the normal price. The place was clean, the staff was cool, and we ended up extending our stay by two extra days. Totally changed my view on how to find a bed.
