Sean_murray is right about the hunt being part of the fun. It was a puzzle, flipping through pages and feeling clever when you found a deal nobody else saw. Now it's just a notification, and you don't get that same little win. The digital way is easier, sure, but it takes the personal victory out of it. You go from being a smart hunter to just another person getting the same alert as everyone else.

Alerts are efficient but they kill the fun of the chase. The hunt was half the point.
