Appreciation post: that time I saw my hostel go from sketchy to spotless in 6 months

I stayed at this budget hostel in Barcelona back in March and it was rough - dirty sheets, broken lockers, mold in the shower. Fast forward to September, same place, total glow-up. New management took over around April and they repainted everything, fixed the WiFi, and actually cleaned the kitchen. Cost me the same 15 euros a night too. Has anyone else seen a hostel do a full 180 like that?
