Vent: bought a $20 "mechanic's special" compression tester off a guy in Fresno, and it actually read the same as my $90 one
Figured the cheap gauge would be off by 20psi or just plain lie, but after three pulls on my old Civic it matched my good tester dead on, so now I'm wondering if I've been burning cash on name brand tools for no reason and want to hear if anyone else has cheap tools that turned out just fine.
