Tried swapping a junkyard engine in my driveway last weekend
Pulled a 4.0L from a 1998 Cherokee at Pull-A-Part in Cleveland for $350. Got it home and realized the bellhousing bolts were seized so bad I snapped two extractors. Three hours of swearing later I just cut the bolts with a grinder. Anyone else hit a wall like this with a budget swap and just had to brute force it?

Did your buddy ever tell you about the time he tried swapping an axle in his garage and the whole thing fell on his chest? He was under there for twenty minutes yelling before his wife came out and held it up with a floor jack. He still has a dent in his sternum from that one, I swear.

Holy crap, that's insane! I mean, I've dropped a socket on my face before, but a whole axle? That's a whole different level of bad luck. At least his wife saved him, but now he's got a permanent souvenir from it. I bet he never lets her forget that story either, probably brings it up every time they're at a cookout. Guess that's one way to get a custom chest dent, definitely not worth the trouble though!
