Cheap torque wrench from harbor freight, actually not garbage?
Been turning wrenches for 15 years. Always told myself you need the expensive Snap-On stuff. Last spring my old beam style finally gave out. Picked up a $35 Pittsburgh click type on sale. Figured it would be junk. Been using it 8 months now. Rebuilt two brake calipers, did head gaskets on a 93 Civic. Torqued everything to spec. Checked it against my buddy's digital unit last week. Within 3 ft-lbs. For hobby stuff that's plenty good. Has anyone else had luck with the cheap ones or did I just get lucky?
