Bought a $60 timing light at Harbor Freight and it showed my old Civic was running 15 degrees off
I grabbed a $60 timing light from Harbor Freight last weekend to finally set the ignition timing on my 1994 Civic. I had been messing with it by ear for weeks and the car ran fine, but the light showed I was 15 degrees advanced. I turned the dizzy back to spec and the idle smoothed out and my gas mileage went from 26 to 31. Has anyone else had a cheap tool actually fix a problem they created themselves?
