TIL using canned beans instead of dried saved me 45 minutes

A friend told me "just buy the cans, your time is worth more than the savings" after I complained about soaking dried beans overnight. Then I did the math - a can costs $0.89 and dried are $0.59 but I spent over an hour prepping. Has anyone else switched to canned for certain recipes?
