Hot take: I used a can of store brand cream of mushroom soup as a pasta sauce base and it was a game changer

I was down to just a box of rotini and a can of the generic soup from my local Food Fair, so I thinned the soup with a cup of water, heated it up, and tossed the cooked pasta in it. It made this super creamy, savory sauce that covered four big servings for maybe $1.50 total. Has anyone else tried using condensed soup like this for a quick, cheap dinner?

Okay, that's either a culinary breakthrough or a sign of the impending apocalypse. I'm picturing you in a bunker made of canned goods, declaring condensed soup the official sauce of the recession. Honestly though, for that price, I can't even be mad.
