Frozen veggie packs saved my grocery budget last Tuesday
Last Tuesday I was staring at a $60 grocery cart feeling defeated, so I put back the fresh broccoli and grabbed three bags of frozen mixed veggies instead, about $1.50 each. I tossed one bag into a skillet with some canned beans and rice I already had, and it made dinner for two nights easy. The other two went into a slow cooker soup with a $2 bag of lentils and some bouillon cubes, zero waste. Has anyone else switched to frozen produce for the weekly meal plan, or do you have a go-to way to stretch those bags further?
