Bought bulk rice from a restaurant supply store and regretted it

I went to US Foods Chef'Store in Austin last Saturday and grabbed a 50 pound bag of jasmine rice for $28. Seemed like a steal for budget meals. Got home and realized the bag had tiny weevils in it by Tuesday morning. Now I freeze all my bulk grains for 48 hours before storing them. Anyone else run into pests from these big bags?

Freeze them for a day and move on with your life - @mason283 acts like you found a body in that rice bag, not a couple bugs you can't even see once it's cooked.

Man that's rough. Same thing happened to me with a 25 pound bag of basmati from a restaurant supply place in Houston. Found little bugs crawling around after a few days. Freezing trick works like a charm though - I do 72 hours now just to be safe. Stupid pests always find their way into those bulk bags somehow.
