Bought a bulk bag of red lentils for $12 and half of them had little rocks mixed in

I spent a whole hour picking through them after I bit down on something hard in my soup. Has anyone else gotten batches like that from the discount bin or was this just bad luck?

Wait, nobody is talking about the real mystery here. How do you break a tooth on a lentil? Lentils are like little sponges. They're basically nothing. I've eaten bags of them without issue. Either your tooth was already a ticking time bomb or that was one genetically modified lentil from a science experiment. Maybe you found the world's first armored lentil. Or maybe you're secretly a superhero and your weakness is legumes. Either way, I'm choosing to believe that lentil had it out for you personally.
