Bought a $9 pork shoulder instead of chicken thighs and fed myself for 6 days
I usually grab the $5 pack of chicken thighs at Kroger every Sunday because it's easy, but two weeks ago they were sold out so I grabbed a 7 pound pork shoulder for $8.94 instead and tossed it in the slow cooker with a jar of salsa. I ended up with so much meat that I ate it over rice, in tacos, and mixed into eggs for 6 days straight, which came out to about $1.50 a meal. What cheap cut did you sleep on for years before finally trying it?
