Am I the only one who thinks meal prepping for a whole week is a waste of time?

My sister Sarah tried to convert me last Sunday after she spent 4 hours cooking 21 containers of chicken and rice, and by Wednesday she was throwing half of it out because she got sick of eating the same thing. I told her I'd rather spend 20 minutes each night making a simple stir-fry or a can of beans with rice, and she called me lazy. Does anyone else find that the time and money saved on prepping gets eaten up by boredom and leftovers going bad?

My buddy tried the same thing and actually tracked his waste with a kitchen scale one week. Lost like two pounds of soggy vegetables and three containers of chicken that smelled weird by Friday. That's not saving money, that's paying extra for the privilege of eating cafeteria food at home.

Ask her straight up - did she actually save money after throwing out half that food? Because from where I'm sitting, spending four hours and then wasting ingredients sounds way more expensive than just cooking fresh each night. My own rule is I can only prep for three days max, anything past that and I'm tossing it too.
