TIL a $2 rubber band from my junk drawer saved a live TV shoot in Bakersfield
I was doing a live feed from a truck yard in Bakersfield and my HDMI kept cutting out every time a diesel rig rolled past. Turned out the connector was sagging under its own weight, so I looped a thick rubber band around the cable and hooked it over the port housing to take the strain off. Ran clean for 4 straight hours after that. Anyone else got a dumb cheap trick that beats buying a whole new cable?
