Phone charger died mid-road trip, GPS bricked in the middle of Nebraska
Driving back from Denver last week and my car charger just gave up right outside Kearney. The wire was frayed where it met the plug, so I had to pull over and use the map app on my phone upside down in a gas station for 20 minutes. Anyone else had a cord fail at the exact worst possible moment, or is it just my luck?

Read somewhere that cords fray fastest right at the plug joint, so maybe it was doomed before Kearney.
