Spent 6 hours trying to fix a crooked wall that was actually fine
Turns out my level was off by a hair from a drop last week. Wasted a whole morning re-laying bricks that were perfectly straight. Anyone else ever get tricked by their own tools?

Hard disagree that a crooked wall is fine. If your level was off, that means the wall was straight, which is exactly what you want. Maybe the real problem is you need a better level.

Hold up wait wait wait. Are you serious right now? Your level was off and you still went through with laying all those bricks again? Bro that is a nightmare scenario. I would have been kicking myself for a week after realizing that. I had a tape measure that was stretched out once and I feel your pain on a spiritual level. Tools will betray you when you least expect it.
