Question about using a laser level versus string lines on a 50 foot wall
Honestly, I had to pick between my old trusty string lines or renting a laser level for a big commercial job last month. I went with the laser and it cut my layout time in half, but the battery died on day three and I had to go back to string anyway. Has anyone found a laser that lasts a full week on a single charge?

My buddy swears by his DeWalt laser. Thing ran for his whole kitchen reno, like five straight days. Still had a bar left when he packed up.

Wait, five days straight without charging? That's wild. My old laser would die after maybe eight hours of real use. DeWalt must have some crazy battery tech in those things now.

Yeah the battery tech has come a long way in just the last few years. I've got the newer DeWalt 12V laser level and even with the smaller battery pack, it lasts me a solid two or three full days of framing work before I even think about charging it. The brushless motors and the way they manage power draw are probably the biggest reason. Your mileage might vary depending on how much you're using the pulse mode or the bright red beam though.
