Appreciation post: My $400 laser level was a total game changer

I fought buying one for years, but laying out that big foundation in Phoenix last week would have taken twice as long without it. Anyone else finally cave on a tool that made them feel silly for waiting?

Totally get that. Held off on a good cordless drill for way too long. Felt like an idiot after the first time I used it.

A neighbor loaned me his old Makita cordless drill back in 2016 when I was hanging some shelves. I spent the next two hours muttering to myself about how I wasted 15 years wrestling with extension cords. The first time I used it I snapped three bits because I was used to yanking on the trigger like I was fighting a stuck bolt. Felt like I had to relearn how to drill a hole.
