Unpopular opinion: I ignored the old guy at the supply yard about lumber stickers for 8 months
I used to pull stickers off every board right when it hit my rack in the garage, thought it was just being tidy. Then in January a contractor buddy looked at my stacked maple and said the stickers are why boards dry even and my warped pile was my own doing. I left them on for the 12 boards I milled in Feb and checked them last week, dead flat compared to the banana boards I pulled them from. It's a stupid thing to get worked up over but it saves you real money when you're not losing stock to twist. Anyone else learn this the hard way?
