Unpopular opinion: emptying parking lot trash cans is the best side gig nobody talks about
I picked up a contract last March cleaning 14 trash cans at a strip mall in Tulsa, and I almost turned it down because it sounded like the worst job on earth. Turns out the whole route takes 90 minutes, twice a week, and pays $950 a month. The cans are on wheels, the dumpster is right there, and I listen to podcasts the entire time. Compare that to my other gigs where I'm dragging hoses around in 100 degree heat for way less per hour. The owner said the last guy quit because he thought it was beneath him, which is insane to me. Anyone else here run a route that sounds gross but actually pays better than the flashy stuff?
