Update: chose linen thread over cotton for a 400 page rebind, and now I'm second guessing myself
I had to pick between waxed linen and cotton thread for a 400 page rebind of a 1920s atlas last month. I went with linen for the strength but the spine is already showing two loose signatures after light use. Anyone else run into linen being too stiff for older, brittle paper, or did I just tension it wrong?
