Thought I had a loose hinge on a rebind...
Spent 4 hours chasing what I thought was a loose hinge on a 1940s encyclopedia I was rebinding. Turns out the endpaper paste needed another 12 hours to cure, not more clamping force. Anyone else waste half a day on a problem that wasn't even real?

Twelve hours for paste to cure? That's wild, I'd have given up and re-clamped everything after six. @paige870 you're right that patience beats force but man that test patience.

Used to think more clamping was always the answer too, but this made me realize patience usually beats force in book work.
