Honestly, I used to think those expensive linen threads were a total waste of money. A client in Portland last month changed my mind completely.

Ha, I was right there with you. My cheap thread looked like a bird's nest after one wash. So much for being a smart shopper.

Actually, I've had the opposite happen. I bought a basic pack of white tees from a discount store last year, and they've held up surprisingly well. Still soft, no pilling, even after dozens of washes. Guess it's just a roll of the dice sometimes.
