Finally nailed my hinge placement after 4 botched journals

I kept trying to do the hinge right at the spine crease but it always cracked when I closed the book. Switched to offsetting it about 3mm toward the cover on my last one and it shut SO smooth. Anyone else fight with hinge placement or am I just slow on this?
