Warning: our club almost fell apart over 40 pages, then one rule fixed it
Last month our 9 person club in Sacramento picked a 600 page book and only 3 people finished it, so two members quit in the same meeting. We switched to a rule where the host picks a book under 350 pages and posts 3 questions in the group chat a week ahead, and our finish rate jumped from about 30 percent to 8 out of 9 in two months. Does your group cap page count or do you just let people show up having skipped half the book?
