Stopped by a library book sale last Saturday and noticed something weird

Every single popular fiction title was priced at 50 cents but the self-help section was all marked at a dollar. Has your book club ever grabbed a stack from a library sale and did you notice the same pricing split?

Book club grabbed twelve romance novels, all 50 cents each.

Did you check the spines before you bought them? I've learned that some of those old romance paperbacks can fall apart quick, especially if they're the mass market ones with the glued binding. I'd suggest putting a heavy book on top of each one for a day or two to flatten them out. That way you won't end up with pages falling out halfway through chapter three.
