PSA: assigning one person to play devil's advocate fixed our dead book club
We were down to 4 people showing up because nobody wanted to argue, so last month I made everyone pick a book they actually disliked and defend it. We had the best talk in 2 hours that we've had in ages, has anyone else tried forcing a hot take like this?
