Our book club's stubborn standoff finally wrapped up

It went on for what felt like years. Getting past it today is a nice little victory.

Remember our book club nearly disbanded over whether to read nonfiction. The compromise was painfully dull but kept us together.

My friend’s book club almost broke up over picking books too... their “safe” pick was some dry history of paperclips that had everyone dozing off. Makes your compromise with @masona62 sound almost exciting, honestly. They stuck it out for three meetings in total silence before finally switching back to thrillers.
